My Hawaiian trip ended for now but was the trip of a lifetime. I met many amazing people and saw beautiful things that I was lucky to see. Like the many rainbows and islands and volcanoes. I visited 3 islands. Hawai'i, Kauai and O'ahu. My goal is to go back because I feel a connection with this land which always has giving me inspiration for my art but now even more now that I've seen it. Thank you and mahalo nui! I got this painting of a jungle at a thriftstore 8 years ago and I was getting a bit tired of the same look so I added some Happy Moai to create a collaboration with an unknown artist that I never met. I can't read his signature. I also added my own but not deleted his. It's a new idea I want to try more with neglected paintings and spicing it up.

Today I felt a bit overwelmed by life and all the projects that I'm doing. I didn't know how to channel that feeling. I decided to color this drawing from last week and try not to overthink or be perfectionistic too much. I was coloring in a more wild and rough manner then usual just to get the essence of the colors.

I'm always a bit careful when it comes to light and colors but this time I wanted to go more dramatic with it.
I like how it turned out.

As a young child I have been inspired and amazed by the concept art of Pixar movies. I remember having seen an expo once. That is kind of the style and technique I admire. My work is partially inspired by Eyvind Earle, Bob Ross and also someone I work with @andy_van_stiphout
